Remember Me?
Remember me?
I was your home once,
or was I?
I was your fire,
when you were ice.
Your immaculate,
when you didn't wanna be nice.
Remember me?
I was your Twelve AM alone,
your silly little clown.
I was your amateur poet;
your favorite subject,
your prodigal project.
Remember me?
I was your reason
why you were on the phone.
I was there to listen,
to all of your unanswered questions.
I was your attention,
your special someone.
Remember me?
I was once your ‘I love you,’
the sky in your blue.
I was your only truth,
in a lie that was you.
Remember me?
The flesh who fell in love,
to a ghost who never loves.
The mortal who loved,
a ghost she never had.
Remember me?
Your wicked goodbye,
Oh, I forgot!
You never said goodbye.
I was once your home,
or was I?
