Listening To A Fanatic

 
He talked for a long time
His crazy blue eyes
Boring holes in me.

He talked of Demons
And Dark powers,
Treason and twisted conspiracy,
Satanic rites and secret plans.

He talked of a tunnel
Built under the third runway
Of the new Airport.

A tunnel to be used
By the socialist minions of Satan
To  ship captive Christian patriots
Off to the Fema camps
Without inconveniencing
Or alerting the  travelers
At the regular terminal.

When he finally walked away
I felt like I had just finished
A bad dentist appointment.

The trouble is I agreed
With half the things he said
I just assumed that
The tunnel was for shipping
Captive socialist, atheists
Off to Fema Camps.

This time
I hope that he is right.
