A shell
You arrive to this existence devoid of regalia
they adorn you,
they cover you,
they advise you to cover yourself
to hide your feelings, your emotions, your hungers
they discipline you to conform, to adhere not to your heart but to the masses, to stay steel, to tame your desires and needs
Years later …… It’s total havoc
your pure nature has been subdued, denied, starved
you feel bad for not conforming,
you feel bad for not following your heart,
you feel bad for wanting to move and indulge on all your secrets desires and unsatisfied needs
you have learned so well to disguise your feelings that not even yourself are able to discern them
your shell is so thick that you have to struggle obdurately to see your real self again,
to feel what your soul feels,
to love what you really are
you are perfect and everybody deserve to see your colours
then, I plead you
Shine and show us your real light
