cry little girl

you laugh at my tears,
saying they look like little...
caricatures of grief;
what it's supposed to look like
when one is hurting

my tears fail...
to reach the heart...you growl
I want you to really hurt

not that you would know
the difference in me,
between bleeding pain
and screaming rage

but you always knew
just how to touch me,
in a way...that would be cruelest

curling in on myself
you laugh, Sadistic and mean,
knowing I'm about to break
my fortress. I never kept you out,
you walked right through
like it was paper mache

cry, little girl,
and when all the world,
is done laughing...
come back to me,
you know you will
today, tomorrow, and always
because I own you

you know, and I know,
you don't feel anything
until you're pushed
to the edge of sanity
and brought back to life...
by the devil in me
