PRESSURE RELEASE
When, on occasion,
my authentic self visits.
together we write
Tapping vast caverns
with molten passion filled.
too long suppressed
Words onto the page erupting,
beautiful, sensual, sometimes incendiary.
Oft Committing ostracizable offenses
Of the panoply of life’s risky choices,
I choose to write.
Else I would surely explode.
my authentic self visits.
together we write
Tapping vast caverns
with molten passion filled.
too long suppressed
Words onto the page erupting,
beautiful, sensual, sometimes incendiary.
Oft Committing ostracizable offenses
Of the panoply of life’s risky choices,
I choose to write.
Else I would surely explode.

Excellent write, my friend. Deep connection between our superior self and our human self. We are truly a union of beings and if all of our parts do not connect, we are truly empty. Good ink. J

Oh my goodness, yes! What would I end up doing to myself if I didn't have that pressure release valve....?
Love this. Keeping it. Well done.

Thank you Titanium! I was hoping that many, of our kindred sprits, could relate. I am glad that you too identify with this poem.

Writing is a catharsis for me as well. I'm kind of a loner when I write, but I just can't seem to get along. Really enjoyed this, Gahdess.

Thank you Sir Crow! As I've aged I've become more of a loner. I think this can also mean that we are growing more and more comfortable with ourselves. I tended to be over-social in my early years and I think it was a way of coping with some grim aspect of my life. I knew you would identify with this piece.

Not being able to write would be torture for me. My brain demands that I write down the words it decided to conjure. Great poem, Gahddess, y mucha suerta en la competicion!

Muchisimas Gracias Luna! I didn't enter this one in the comp. I just thought iut would be fun to use the inspiration from those quotes for other pieces. I am glad that you identify with the compelling need to write.

That's awesome, Soledad! I can tell by the passion demonstrated in each of your poems. Thank you for the kind words.
