dare not hesitate
it is our fear
they evaluate
assuming weakness
despite strength

forge a garrison
and insulate
preservation

emotional locks
become a shield
from any weapon

Really good work. Good thing to know how to protect yourself from the sharks of this world. But also, we should have people or a place where we can fully lay our guard down and be vulnerable, be human.

Thank you Inkerpoet. Very wise advice as willingness to be vulnerable is an honest measure of courage. Unfortunately this write is coming from a recent place of hurt and I am in protection mode. It’s lock and load at the moment. Lol. You taking the time to read and respond is much appreciated.
