innocence
the dust settles
I see my smile on the horizon
a woman alone in her passion
her art lonely comfort
eyes star kissed
in my element, I feel something
lusts of the flesh dance outside me
my inner girl remains chaste and hidden
no man will know her
pure in my pursuit
you may know me;
by the dawn of my creation
reaching the divine
in my humanity broken
little pieces of me are scattered
they are not sums of my whole
dusk descends upon my naked heart
my storms stir the restless
carrying them away to foreign lands
you will know me in the power of my voice
I cast my thoughts on the wind
perhaps one day they will return
when I am very old
returning to me my spring
