lotus blossom
the darkness relent
I entered the dawn
awakened to the passion of you
my first lover
sunrise whispers his intentions
I greet the morning
shaking the stars from my hair
it was like we never said our goodbyes eons ago
you ask if I'm still at war
I answer no my lord I've laid down my weapons
come into me then
feed your loneliness in me
I am the only one close to your likeness
Goddess, no mortal will suffice
tears stoically run down my face
with the knowledge you are right
another millennium waiting
for a being of substance to evolve and see me
I cry bitterly that there is just you and I
you sought other women among the mortals
these dalliances are enough for you
I'm angry you still call my name
I've tried to lose my self in the land of men
you awaken me every time
force me to see what I choose not to
you cheated on me
will you deny me my freedom?
