Thomism

St. Thomas Aquinas's definition of beauty is "that which pleases when looked upon."
Now the reverse may also be true:
If you are getting pleasure while looking at a thing, shouldn't that pleasure make that thing look better - even beautiful??!!

It has long been my idea that looking at one's own genitals while practicing auto-eroticism tends to make those genitals look attractive.

And by the process of "inductive reasoning" (going from the particular to the general),
the effect of seeing your own penis (or vagina) as attractive is WHAT??
Seeing all penises (or vaginas) that way.

In short, I'm saying same sex attraction can be explained as the natural effect of VIEWING YOUR GENITALS WHILE MASTURBATING.
Because you are combining the viewing of something with the experiencing of pleasure.
And according to St Thomas Aquinas, that combo produces the effect called beauty.

Why do i bring this issue up??
Because the cause of homosexuality is considered to be unknown.
It seems to me that the cause is actually obvious.
There is no longer any excuse for claiming the cause is unknown.

All we have to do is buy into Aquinas's definition of beauty.
