wonderful thought I love the affect of leaving it up to the reader
to draw their own conclusions with your pauses
it's more in what you don't say...

it's powerful...

Yes, poetry helps afford us a certain amount of perspective. Nice title, Ely. For example, last night some guys in a car threw water over me as I was cycling home. It upset me because I was helping them with directions when they did it, driving off laughing. I wrote about it, attacking their actions, their background & finally their character.

You do show remarkable restraint at times, snaggy...
I think I should have begun with the assassination of character...  
but your tormentors seemingly have no characters to assassinate... Ely

That's right. Well put Ely! ;-)

I like a good puzzle myself... though,  
unless it is the point of the poem, we should not make our readers struggle... lest we lose the flow... and our audience along with it.
