a deities wanderlust
the darkness wept for a deity wandering alone
she saw her reflection on the woman's face
twice scorned and sent to traverse
the mortal realm looking for a mate
just when she thought her days of searching were over
your thundering steps disturbed her lovemaking
feelings of guilt then surfaced inside her lover
the man had touched what was reserved for the gods
this truth reflected in your glare made him feel shame
he lusts over one who feeds his needs
a woman, yes an immortal one
but one with like passions
you judge them for their love for each other
saying this will not be
crying you were made for me alone
I tell you openly I would rather slit my own throat
then fall for your treachery thrice fold
I've entered your throne room
to find it filled with harlots
I will not be your wife in the eternity
the chains you wear of martyrdom
are a joke and for show only
I don't stalk your steps the way you do mine
chase these women get your fill
but don't expect me to play your game
I will find my place in the sun
my humanity I wear like a medal of honor
I hope it disgraces you
knowing you better than anyone
you can pretend for the sheep
I know the truth of your nature
would you have me proclaim the truth before the congregation?
once I was an innocent who followed you blindly
now I'm a full-grown woman with great lusts of my own
why should I repent of my ways?
when there is no place for me to be free in his-story
I'm writing her-story
where it's all natural the feeling that consumes
and yes I burn with it
exile yourself I will not be blamed
renamed, pushed away then reclaimed
we're at war Sir
this is what you really desire from me anyway
try and rape me of my feelings again
they won't bleed for you, plead for you
this is predestination in action
too bad you didn't see me evolve past the need of you
