Leah's Last Birthday Card
Today
i went to my
friendlyneighborhood
corporate pharmacy to purchase
the life-giving
pharmaceuticals (drugs/dope) that keep me
supposedly alive.
As I passed the greetng cards....it flashed upon me
t h a t sometime before April 30th,
the last b'day card i sent you was one for a 3 year old, (as there
were no cards designated for 31 year olds),,,,I simply drew a numeral
1 behind each 3........
in one of our last phone conversations, you said
"Dad, only you could come up with
something like that."
Goddamnit, Leah.........i miss you so much !

simply because she aint here to love and be loved
and with this chronic heart failure I have no future as i've no essential energy or stamina to do anything beyond sitting in my lovely lonely room, until 'they' come to take me away to the 'care home' or the almighty Oven.
I've played 'gigs' in 'care homes' once a month since 2005. Every month! AND that is not where i want to be imprisoned for my last days.

I'm so sorry, Danny. The initial shock comes in waves. . .when you're driving, shopping. . .it hits you - how so very much you miss someone. The sadness is so great that it's physically painful.
