I still face you

I turn and turn but still face you, eye to eye to what we’ve been through, no lines to say what words we threw; we’ve done the things we’ve done,
were meant to do.

I only dance to songs I know and my laughter comes in bursts it’s true; emotional response,
I know,
I’m slow.
Silent.
Wrong.

Mcavity got my tongue.

I turn and turn but still face you, eyes red with pain and anger from the love I sold, temper temper, I’ve been told;
how could we grow and live ‘till old?

Feelings dug deep, made roots and grew, I sidled around knowledge but better I knew.
Problems,
ingrained.
I pain.
Wish I was plain.

I turn and turn but still face you; I’d wish you’d turn as well, away, grasp the air around and vanish,
all thoughts of smiles banished.

Like high noon if we cocked and drew, you aiming for me, me aiming for you, a gauntlet I grasped and then I threw.
Wretched.
I’m cursed.
It’s true I was worse.

I turn and turn but still face you, now I’m ready for goodbye, work to do, to change, I know, I know; I must try.

I turn and turn but still face you, from a distance; you mouth “why”,
I turn and turn but can’t see you,

My turn.

I didn’t try.
