Joseph's claims
I feel compelled to say
that I am constantly astounded at the way
that you present yourself
as THE religiously enlightened one
who knows full well above the rest of us
and with an apodictic certainty
of how we live within an ontological duality,
and that our last abode will be the one
that is the opposite of gross materiality
not to mention how that you are sure
you’re blessed with absolutely right
unquestionable insight
and therefore should be listened to when you profess
didactically your claims
about the paths in which this old world works,
what makes life sing
what determines human happiness,
what presages its gloom,
what severs from humanity its bliss,
and then about the answers to
the questions of such things
as whether god exists,
and whether he for us has something like a will,
indeed, a plan,
that determines “man’s” good end and final goal
and what it is that really serves to heal, to boon,
and save "man's" soul
(presuming that there really is
this Plato visioned ghost in the machine),
let alone how any final joy
will ne'er be found
without mankind’s subjection to
a Christian second birth
and then escaping to, through death,
some spirit realm that says essentially God lied
about the aim and eschatology of human destiny
despite the fact
that the book that you regard as speaking truth
notes that your god, when in creation's early days,
did look upon the bodied place
he circumscribed beneath the stars
to tenure Adam and his wife
and his descended kin within
to have them live and thrive and multiply,
and then proclaimed most solemnly
when all his handiwork was done
that it and it alone, not some "spirit space",
was life’s perpetual locale
that was and is divinely
and so finely deemed forever
“very good”.
Have you not noted how and why
the spouted claims
you make above (and from the point of view
of writing well some things set out
most awkwardly),
allows all those who read your posted "verse"
to "plainly" see contains, is rooted in,
the essence of old Gnosticism's heresies?
