Taste the Rainbow
(sonnet)
Her yonder Skittles, hungry, call to me,
The sweetest rainbow taste I find within.
In flavors of her giggle screams and squeeee!
With rush that fills my mouth as loves begin.
She seems to love my Starburst just as well,
The time she takes to savour every bit.
“The juice is loose” does not begin to tell
The tale of how she seeks my joy’s emit.
In finest restaurant’s fare, we find no hope,
But specials seek in table linen hides.
A wonder how the wait staff tries to cope,
As one above and one below resides.
In such sweet meals, we never find our fill.
With dinner’s grace, we pray we never will.
