lack of care
when we take footsteps through strands of grass
how often do we as a human race
ponder and wander
on the little things below our man made soles
we neglect to think about their world
we think about our world
and how our footsteps take us places
footstep after footstep frequently travelling
in our world , in our time
in places which have nothing to do with us
the little things, ants, beetles, ladybirds, spiders
their home is in the grass
and we travel in footsteps
eyes pondering on the comforting colour
of the green grass strands
but our thoughts never drift down
to a thought beyond our line of thinking
walking on someone else's home
our thoughts rarely care
thinking about ourselves and our world
we walk a desired destination
never feeling guilty about the world below our feet
how different we would feel
about stepping into a house with no permission
treading upon someone elses space
only the uncaring would think to take this action
walkers on this earth are a mixed bunch
some people fit together like a jigsaw
yet some are disjointed and all over the place
like misfits, muddled, different, confused identities
the grass is passive and accepting
allowing anyone or anything
human or animal
to take a walk upon it's skin
there is no pushing away , just allowing and letting
giving in to be a walkover to everyone and everything
because there is no choice
in the hands of the grass there are intrusions
living in habitants
feelings like we have been walked all over
the grass is the victim , passive submisser
accepter of anything which comes its way
helpless and unable to fight back
like a roof of a house soaked to skin by the torrential rain
still standing, hurt by the hands of the sky
sometimes hurt happens
arriving from another world
sometimes this happens
because we were too weak in the first place
so well fall victim
sometimes this happens
because we have no ability to defend ourselves
intrusions in ones world, ones life, ones place
they are very sad
because one uncaring world
should never make its way into your world
and hurt you ,
how often do we as a human race
ponder and wander
on the little things below our man made soles
we neglect to think about their world
we think about our world
