and almost twenty years after
the second world war
there was still the anderson shelter
in the garden
although being just
children
we didn't know what
it was for ..

The war-shelter we practiced going into for school 'fire-drill' in '64 was in case the Ruskies or the Chinks dropped a nuclear bomb on Liverpool.

well it is good to have such a thing sitting around... one never knows when war-shelters may need to be pressed back into service.......
