Ode to Robin Parks

The last time I saw Robin Parks he laid lifeless on a slab after they had senselessly murdered him in the prime of his life.

Why you ask? The reason being, simply because they could.

Organized, intentional, ordained by the State, Unabashed Murder.

He looked peaceful like a
little Black Ghandi
lying there in a white robe
while his family bid him farewell and cried.

He was a poor black kid in a mostly white middle class school who was ridiculed, discriminated against and didn't stand a chance.

Part of a botched robbery he paid for with his life.

Before he died he left us this thought:
“I fear there will be no justice in this world until there is justice for the least of us”.

We must stop the killing once and for all. Our heart and soul; our very humanity is at stake. We, as conscious human beings must abolish this cruel and inhumane crime against humanity.
