Love Call

How stars can sing you in to be
Too long have I been
From your pillow breath

As hands caress our outswept love
Lonely in your laugh
Your words are my heart

How still it seems to run with you
Unknown, found in night
Mistress’ quiet prey

My longing, shapes obscured in fog
Sleep escapes my dreams
Dawn stirs in cold winds

Phrases shock the dark, verse like sun
You are all my mind
Love, a morning p’om
