GREEN ROSE

We all have seen and know of this expensive rose
It's the type of rose that can turn friends into foes
It exposes the hidden agendas of pretenders and hearts of men
It's a requirement to have some of it to survive in a world of sin

Every woman and man in this land is aware of that theory
And all are enlightened about and frightened by it's fury
Clearly a lack of it will get you very little to no respect
For society only loves the ones who are writing the checks

We need to check ourselves before we wreck ourselves with that mentality
A mentality that leads to many living like all those who're greedy
Surely this isn't what the Supreme Being created humanity for
Folks are selling their souls for this rose and looking like whores
