Love in the water fall

Love was in the waterfall
tumbling  black Welsh rock,
love in the wind combing
through spring shoots,
blowing away scales
waking months of sleep
soft green leaves in utero
force their impatient way
gain light and freedom
one brief year.
Watch and understand,
appreciate this gestation
love  in a water-fall,
wind and welcome rain.
Lovers tumbling in the meadow,
dark nights retreat until October,
when all shall start again.
Bellies swell as buds grow plump.
