1)        
The monotone        
we drive avatars to        
when we're        
hiding our heads        
in unlit        
halls        
       
while, white blood cells        
accumulate        
un-needed wealth        
-immunity        
draining lymphatics        
in grey chemotherapeutic        
mercury salivating        
mouths        
       
2)        
The young ones        
(and some old ones)        
but mostly teens        
toss the laundry out        
in two by twos        
Colorfully splattering        
decorations        
       
left        
forgotten        
       
unresurrected        
       
3)        
I prefer hieroglyphics:      
the Koi San        
were the first people        
known to walk my country's        
trails, living the cave life        
       
they painted poetry        
on the walls        
of any rock        
that lay        
asking for it        
       
Now it's considered        
an artform        
-heritage        
       
I was studying these        
       
could you imagine        
painting life stories        
on rock        
with the powder ground        
from other rocks?        
       
4)        
This evening    
is cold    
(even the book I'm reading, shivers)        
       
I've been fortunate  
this week my lover visited,        
stayed more than        
one night        
       
our skins would sleep        
plaited        
with Cyanoacrylate        
beneath bedsheets        
       
I bond all enigmas        
in bandages        
membranes        
and medical
