Always To Soon
Nickel plated chrome piece tucked in his waistband
Anger flowing through his veins
Fuck a bandana
He wants them to see his face
Taking back what's his
By any means necessary he'll get ahead
Pissed at a system he thinks holds him down
He sits and waits till six a.m.
In the car and on the road by seven
Follows the owner in at eight
Nine minutes later he pulls chrome plated nine
In less then ten minutes my mothers son lost his life
He's full of heartache
Wiping tears caused by how useless he feels
Tries to be strong but her pain is killing him
Out of options for they called hospice in
Pacing from her bedside to outside so he can smoke away from the oxygen
Thinking she deserves better
While she prays he gets better
Both knowing this time she won't win
Accepted her time is coming to a end
Leaving a life she loves behind
Believing for one to come one must go
She presses her lips against his hand
Only she knows what would be said if she could say it
Staring in each other's eyes letting love explain
Glances at the door as tears fall
One last kiss
As he leaves so does she
Easy come
Easy go
This life is the only guarennted thing we know
Its perfectly unfair
One without heartache and pain is one that was wasted away
Memories medicate the heart as it comes to a end
Always to soon
Always brings out our selfish ways
Always wanting one more day with one more laugh
One last hug and one last kiss
If it meant to see you again
I would take one last argument
