Surrogate Solutions

She waits by the curtain
knowing he will pass
before the evening expires

The pace of a frustrated man,
brisk and intense
the argument continuing
after he walks out the door

He sees her hand on the glass
immersed in the view
of the big bay window
and mistakes it as a gesture

He approaches the door
and before he knocks
it opens

"Give me your anger," she says

Her soft voice is strangely hypnotic
and without thinking
he closes the door behind them

She is barefoot
in a casual black dress

"I am done with talking," he responds

"Then show me what it feels like", she offers
stepping back towards the stairway

She turns around pulling her dress up
revealing her smooth bottom

"Did I disobey?"

"Why fight me, if you won't fuck me?"

She slides over to the steps
and seats herself
open to him

"Is this what you want?" she asks
sliding a finger into the fold
and offering it to him

He advances quickly,
pants tripping him at the ankles
but able to steady himself
to get inside her

HIs fury rocks her gently
and her hand finds his shoulder
to push against the swelling anger

"Get it out, darling!", she says. "Let it all out".
