No Fault Faded Love

I see the turmoil
limbs tucked in
the grip of tension
sick and distraught

We never chose to veer
into a union
only to dismantle
under the facade of love

It was really there
it still is
but the solution
to remove me
is a deadly test
to self define

The record skips
in each admission
that it is nothing
I have done
we are both to blame

But as I am banished
from the family home
a trial to see
if it is me
or a general disenchantment
can I ever return?

The open relationship
barely lasted a week
because nothing happened
beyond more physical barriers
and housecoats to the shower

The first day of summer
and it looks like my vacation
will include the search
for an overpriced room
and a cell phone plan.
