Author's Note
The poem is about a pattern of behavior of someone who starts off as a lover and transforms into a destroyer. This person is also a "misery broadcaster" a term I coined for someone who transfers his/her misery to others in a relationship. He/she seeks to make their object of affection feel as "bad" as they do.
