The Expendables
Another one of my brothers has died. A brother in the fact that we both spent 6 months from 1977 through 1980 in the Marshall Islands exposed to radiation. Our government won't even acknowledge us as atomic veterans, or give us medical treatment.
So don't tell me someone is disrespecting our veterans if they don't stand for the national anthem.
Disrespecting our veterans is, not demanding that our politicians take care of our veterans.
They spend money on everything else, including themselves.
Until they start taking care of our veterans they shouldn't put our armed service members in harms way.
So don't wrap your racism in the flag and call it patriotism. I respect our flag to much to not be sickened when that happens. I served a country that's not a dictatorship. A country where you can protest. Even though this country won't acknowledge my fellow veterans or myself.
I liked those The Expendables movies, but we were sent into a high area of radiation because to them, we were expendable.

I spent 6 months on the Marshall Islands, Enewetac Atoll. Lived on Lojwa and went to other islands. They did nuclear testing there from 1946 till 1958.
I was there from the end of 1977 through the first part of 1978. Almost everyone one of us ended up with brittle teeth that broke easy. Most of us Don't have our teeth anymore. Most of us have died from cancer. All of us have health problems.
As a former 12B Combat Engineer, the words fuck you roll very easily off my lips. I spent 9 years in the Army from 1975 till 1984.
