What if I were the sky?
What would it be like, if I were the sky?
A question I now ask myself, I know not why.
If I were the sky, I would watch all below,
I would see things familiar, and that I know.
I would see people passing by,
Greeting each other, then saying goodbye.
Summer would come,
Bringing with it the sun.
Next would come Autumn,
Changing the leaves' colors as days go by,
Watching the leaves as they fall and dry.
In comes Winter, a cold yet warm season,
Children romp around in the snow, without a care nor reason.
Finally Spring comes, hugging the Earth, thawing it out,
Flowers bloom, and animals start to stir about.
I would watch the wind,
I would watch the rain,
None of them really call my name.
For I would just be the sky, watching over what goes on below.
