All the things I never thought I would know
I have learned that a heart is soft
But it can break down the hardest walls
I realized that words spoken with sweetness can still sting
But sometimes the sweetest things in life have no words at all
I have tried to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes
But all I got was blisters
And I still didn’t know very much about them
I found that you can go everywhere with a note book and pen
But the day you forget it is the one where something amazing happens
I lived in a time where grown-ups said you can do anything you want as a kid
But then there are always rules to stop you from doing it
I wanted to write something that no one would ever forget
But remembered that forgetting is human nature
I looked out at the street and saw so many people, then still felt alone
But discovered that that could change with hello
I didn’t think I could write poetry
But then made this
I was wrong about alot of things
But I’m ok with that
But it can break down the hardest walls
I realized that words spoken with sweetness can still sting
But sometimes the sweetest things in life have no words at all
I have tried to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes
