For What Do We Live If Not For Experience And Love ?
For What Do We Endure Pain , That Can Drive One Insane ?
For What Do We Journey To Worlds Below And Above ?
For What Do We Incarnate , Satiate , Maintain , And Attain ?
Why Are We Born , Then Torn From Some Mother's Arms
Then To Struggle Through , In All We Do , To Avoid All Harm ,
To Find Some Way To Explain It Plain , Give It Some Name ,
To Radiate Our Energy , Set Ourselves Free , It's A Mystery
And We Fall Into Each Other , To Find Who We Really Are ,
To Be , And Come To Some Reality , Where Here And Infinity
Intersect , We Introspect , Reflect In The Mirror Near And Far
And See , Hopefully , Where The Serpent Meets The Dove !

interesting write blackwolf! i'm assuming the serpent is the pain and struggles and the dove is beauty and love ! oh , i think maybe love and beauty should find its way into ones pained life, if only to make it better ! i enjoyed reading this

The serpent is that , Daffodil , but so much more !
It is fiery transformation , earth wisdom , the understanding
of the sensual , and sinuous movement , which if you think
of our spine , the healthy path of water , and sine waves for
but a few examples , as well dance , including belly dance ;
The original Druids and Wietches were known as serpents ,
and if you think of original healers , and "bitter medicine"
it is that venom that is so healing ;
Serpent priestesses guarded the underground temples of
the goddess , taking the men underground for three "days"
( when a day began when the sun went down ) and rolling a
stone in front of the door , during the initiation process of the
mysteries...
The Dove represents beauty , yes , yet it too is the art of the
transforming light , descending , the flame of upper world
illumination ;
Long has it been said , descending Dove , ascending Flame ,
as the flame as the serpent , is the kundalini serpent rising
in the body , and when it does , the spiritual light meets it...
One is spirit in the flesh , one the spirit beyond flesh ;
We , of the old Traditions , used ritual ( and some of us still do )
to unite the underworlds , and above worlds , and this , to us ,
was the symbol of the Feathered Serpent , of many world
cultures...
May all who understand , and seek the path of uniting these
forces within themselves , attain this state of divine union , as
each person who does , brings us a little closer to "marrying
Heaven - Earth" ;
Always remember :
For the Tree to be balanced , and in good health , it's roots must
dive to the deepest depths , and it's branches arch high into the sky !
