Said Death
said death to agony
you are the keeper of the flame
revolving eternal
pushing people to the edge
into my waiting embrace
where they taketh their leave
into finality
when I in due time
doth claim
those weeping in despair
running from life's epiphanies
lest they see
the truth
hidden inside
the great eye of pain
with curses and cries
that hang heavy on the wind
for the gift
of viewing your magic
conjured
I doth tarry
never approaching too speedily
the mortals suffering
who for my pleasure
does linger

I'm unsure where this poem came from
it just presented its self in my mind..
yes a dark conversation indeed..

I have to agree with John_Galt above, this is hauntingly beautiful, lovely Dark Angel. Like hearing whispers in the dark and not knowing exactly where they come from, both comforting and eerie at the same time. It speaks of endings and beginnings...because the one does not exist without the other. Gorgeous writing, beautiful. I love you :-)

You, so aptly, dear Crim, describe this secret alliance between death and agony; constantly conspiring, devising methods, dividing tasks for each, entertaining themselves with the process of our slow demise...
Excellent piece!

this write or message
is a hard one for me to swallow
as our pain is amusement it seems..
that we are to gain truth from it
is bitter indeed..

The language and the flow does quite a justice of undertones in dark poetry.
I'm in awe how you skillful you are in writing different subjects, when everything under the sun has been said before. This certainly is unique.

Death seems to have a sadistic bent, prolonging the more painful aspects of life, or "pushing people to the edge." Fine work, and I love that illustration!

Great point of view! Death takes pleasure in prolonging the suffering of the dying.
