Jaded Collaborations
(a long pantoum)
For poets, mouths regard as needed things,
Like ships that stand at harbor’s ports await.
From sheets we stain with gifted wonderings,
Our mouths give resonance, our treasures state.
Like ships that stand at harbor’s ports await
Full holds of diamonds, pearls and finest Jade.
Our mouths give resonance, our treasures’ state
That hold our spills, our seven wonders laid.
Full holds of diamonds, pearls, and finest Jade,
We shine and sparkle, stars in winter night
That hold our spills, our seven wonders laid,
With open mouths release our held insight.
We shine and sparkle, stars in winter night,
But now I seek reside of closer place.
With open mouths release our held insight,
Such lips and tongue let all fair words erase.
But now I seek reside of closer place,
Where mouths can serve a deeper purpose still.
Such lips and tongue let all fair words erase,
To find both mouths delight in other spill.
Where mouths can serve a deeper purpose still,
My tongue’s pursuit to read your every line,
To find both mouths delight in other spill,
That deeper would my penetrate define.
My tongue’s pursuit to read your every line,
With yours to master mine, as loves present.
That deeper would my penetrate define
In you, that space our revelries fervent.
With yours to master mine, as love’s present
Within our joinings such imbibes partake.
In you, that space, our revelry’s fervent
Brought offerings dispel in common take.
Within our joinings, such imbibes partake.
As common mouths uncommon flows combine,
Brought offerings, dispel in common take
A rise and ebb, exists beyond design.
As common mouths uncommon flows combine,
From sheets we stain with gifted wonderings,
A rise and ebb, exists beyond design,
For poets’ mouths regard as needed things.
