Watching the plight, but, also, the struggle of the Palestinian people, from afar (and, just watching), I can't help but think that they have been alone and without any help and yet, they still resist...

There is a movie called "Loin of the Desert" about the beduin leader Omar Mukhtar, who fought against the Italian occupation of Syria in WW2. Great movie!
He is caught in the end and as he awaits his execution he sais: (paraphrased) " We know we can not win this war, but from here on our children and childrens children will continue....what matters is that at least we fought you!"

I was one of those children growing up in a war torn country and the haunting images still haunts me.
