Definition of A Mother
Typically many will define her as one who's bore a child
That definition of her is very shortsighted and kind of mild
For it takes much more than that to be a good mother
Just like it takes more than busting a nut for a man to be a father
She's the nourisher of your soul before you're even a day old
Provider of your comfort and warmth in a world that's cold
Bold enough to take on an entire Army for bringing harm to you
And creator of the popular phrase of "momma ain't raise no fool"
She schools you on the ins and outs and routes of life
Many of times a man will find attributes of her in his wife
The sacrifice of her body as we grew inside of her womb
Is one that many vain women wouldn't have chosen to do
You are blessed and very fortunate if yours is still around
Some have figuratively and literally put theirs in the ground
Pound for pound they're the greatest thing around since sliced bread
Caring enough to still love you even after you've pissed in her bed
Headstones of all of those who are no longer here
Will receive plenty of flowers & plenty of sad tears
For years some have been long gone but will never ever be forgotten
Their memories and spirits live on, especially if they've spoiled you rotten
That definition of her is very shortsighted and kind of mild
