I Been Around

 I been down...

I been so down demons on their knees ,
pissing on my head , were above me...

I been up...I been so up , angels on the
wing , were a bottomless abyss , below me...

I been here , I been there...I been around...

I touched the sky , and kissed the ground...

And on the way , beyond what I could say ,

Was the Silence and the Sound...

Was the Touch and the Isolation...

Was the Honoring and the Degradation...

Was the Being and the Been , the Outer and the In...

For I been here , and I been there , I been Scary , I been Scared...

Been nothing , yet more than you could ever know ,

Rabbit fast , and turtle slow , into the center , razor's edge ,

Opened every door I could enter , and walked every ledge...

Blazed a new trail , for those who follow to trod ,

Broke many a rule , and then challenged the gods ,

For this I am , and this I be , no more than this ,

Just alive and free !
