Last Night
Last night I drank enough vodka to fill a bathtub and I still remember everything you said to me. It sounded something like sweet lullabies and hushed laughs. It sounded like every night I've never had outside of this room. It sounded like everything was going to be alright. That was until I realized you had claws instead of hands. Ripping apart my flesh trying to reach my heart like you were digging for buried treasure. But the only thing you found was a hollowed out rib cage begging to be filled with treasure again. I don't think I'll ever have treasure again. Unless you come back to haunt me with your claws disguised as the softest hands and your words as the sweetest lullabies. I know they say history repeats itself. I'm hoping history repeats itself and someday soon you find yourself searching for my heart in my hollowed out chest again. Breathing in the scent of vodka and tears which happen to be only thing I have left in me. I'm hoping you find yourself in my bed. Last night I drank enough vodka to fill a bathtub and I still remember everything you said to me.
