Wavering Banner of Shame
Under no wavering banner of shame
Having not much in mind to pursue
All that is passed along the path
Nature’s bountiful beautify and sudden wrath
Never should we speak ill of her name
She is not here for us to subdue
Tread upon her kindness for too long
To her true nature she will always keep
Darkening sky from a calm pleasant blue
Everyone of your blows she will return to you
You take her kindness all too wrong
While hurting her ever so deep
Much too haughty and ill of manner
The court never lacks an entertaining fool
Upon the robes of state the courtiers adorn
Their badges of office so proudly worn
Ever concerned with one’s wavering banner
While threateningly brandishing your scepter of rule
All that is behind to remain in the past
Flies from the tongue like a poison dart
At the crossing of paths where people meet
The well trodden soil under their roving feet
All that ever lays ahead, unknown and vast
Traveling with an open mind and brave heart
Having not much in mind to pursue
All that is passed along the path
Nature’s bountiful beautify and sudden wrath
Never should we speak ill of her name
She is not here for us to subdue
Tread upon her kindness for too long
To her true nature she will always keep
Darkening sky from a calm pleasant blue
Everyone of your blows she will return to you
You take her kindness all too wrong
While hurting her ever so deep
Much too haughty and ill of manner
The court never lacks an entertaining fool
Upon the robes of state the courtiers adorn
Their badges of office so proudly worn
Ever concerned with one’s wavering banner
While threateningly brandishing your scepter of rule
All that is behind to remain in the past
Flies from the tongue like a poison dart
At the crossing of paths where people meet
The well trodden soil under their roving feet
All that ever lays ahead, unknown and vast
Traveling with an open mind and brave heart
