Experience
When I saw you
I wanted you
I liked you
Lusted for you
Swore in my soul that I needed you
You felt for me
Then fell for me
And came to love me as I do you
I like you as much now
As I did when I first saw you
Yet now I appreciate that which I did not notice thru my lust clouded youthful vision
You cook for me
Better even than my grandmother
Who taught me the pleasures of real meals
You cling to me
Tighter than a weight belt during a 750 squat
Offering the same protection
So that the pressures upon me cannot crush me
And once I shed them
I am a proven, stronger man
You love me so that I can understand that what your body does for me
Adds meaning to how your heart speaks to me
Giving me something tangible that speaks across whatever distance separates us
I have always needed you
But experience has taught appreciation
Giving substance to what originally
Was merely a visual fixation
Thank You
