Sleep The Day
I wake up different
Feel like fifteen all over again
When ghosts approach
They just appear
My hands shake
They look a lot like yours
Unsure, reaching out for someone
Who was never there
I was born in it
No need to remind me
It's him again
He wants the last word
To fight me before he disappears
Yeah, there it goes
I can smell it
Creeping empty rooms
Every bad mistake I ever made
Shapes of all kinds
Don't talk at all
It's better if I don't hear
Fall back into arms
That pull me away from this
But before I try to sleep
To the one within
Don't say a word
Feel like fifteen all over again
When ghosts approach
They just appear
My hands shake
They look a lot like yours
Unsure, reaching out for someone
Who was never there
I was born in it
No need to remind me
It's him again
He wants the last word
To fight me before he disappears
Yeah, there it goes
I can smell it
Creeping empty rooms
Every bad mistake I ever made
Shapes of all kinds
Don't talk at all
It's better if I don't hear
Fall back into arms
That pull me away from this
But before I try to sleep
To the one within
Don't say a word
