                                        You said you'd be there,                          
                                         we would have a chat,        
                                         i rang that day,        
                                         said you were going away,        
                                         would be back,        
                                         start edit attack,        
                                         conversation not lack.        
         
                                         In anticipation,        
                                         thought i'd make some preparations,        
                                         rang shared relation,        
                                         she said you're not near,        
                                         five weeks before you reappear,        
                                         then leaving again,        
                                         timing, return, uncertain.        
         
                                         Gave you my first poem,        
                                         thinking you'd be home,        
                                         absence return uncertain timing,        
                                         motivating frustrated further rhyming,        
                                         introducing risk,        
                                         to plan to frisk        
                                         collaborative tryst,        
                                         with you missed.        
         
                                         Year old flood anniversary,        
                                         residential park machinations,        
                                         gazzumping my ruminations,        
                                         freeing me from procrastinations,        
                                         led to more writing,        
                                         suggestion of biting,        
                                         a bit more exciting.        
         
                                         Accumulating enexpected verses,        
                                         potentiating unfamiliar curses,        
                                         international publisher found,        
                                         no further need,        
                                         to hunt round,        
                                         it doesn't matter,        
                                         you've gone to ground.        
         
                                         I'm disappointed ,        
                                         local editor,        
                                         so slow,        
                                         maybe a " no-show ",        
                                         seems attitude thought uncommitted,        
                                         now suspected frittered,        
                                         threatening established,        
                                         dialogue inertia,        
                                         my poem allows me to curse ya.
