Silk Flowers
Silk Flowers
All my life I have been alone
Planted many loves but none have ever grown
By the look of me you could probably tell
Why by love attempts I have always failed
My smile of gold made by fools
Hiding the marks of unknown cruel
Even a heart broken by feathered words
Hurts as if torn apart by a flock of birds
Now my time has passed and is gone
I see now all what I thought right was wrong
As the smell of silk flowers are all around
I am slowly lowered into the ground
With no one to see me off this coil
I am at peace now in this lifeless soil
All my life I have been alone
Planted many loves but none have ever grown
By the look of me you could probably tell
Why by love attempts I have always failed
My smile of gold made by fools
Hiding the marks of unknown cruel
Even a heart broken by feathered words
Hurts as if torn apart by a flock of birds
Now my time has passed and is gone
I see now all what I thought right was wrong
As the smell of silk flowers are all around
I am slowly lowered into the ground
With no one to see me off this coil
I am at peace now in this lifeless soil
