I Await the Dream

Oh how I long for you my dear
As I awake hoping you're near
You lying right next to me
So you'll be the first thing that I see
Yet every morning I awake
And the cold reality I can't escape
Laying in an empty bed
With your vision fading from my head
Oh why, my love, must you go away
Leaving me lonely through out the day
Grasping at your memory
Hoping it won't slip away from me
Etching you into my mind
Until again that beautiful time
When I can rest my weary soul
Allowing my dreams to take control
Drawing you once again to me
Where I do stand in fantasy
As you drift into my arms
I am mesmerized by all your charms
Caressed within your loving embrace
While the sweetness of your lips I taste
Gazing deep into your eyes
All the emptiness in me soon dies
I plead this dream, may last forever
The day I wake, may it be never
Praying this will always be
You and I for all eternity
