"cuts"
You said it all
With no words
The most beautiful story
I'd ever heard.
I wasn't a child
I wasn't a man
I was stuck in the middle
And in the middle I stand.
(Cut by the callousness of a cruel hearted man)
We lasted a while
Through heaven and hell
Both in denial
Our kingdom had fell
From the outside it seemed surreal
We put on a show
How does it feel
now that you know?
(Do my cuts tell you so?)
I search for an ending...
Some way to let this go..
So what hurts can start mending
the cuts in my soul.
(Every cut leaves a hole)
(How these cuts take a toll)
(I wish I could cut you, so maybe you'd know)
