A String of Stars
This longing
starts in my chest.
An unfilled longing
To feel
Intertwined with her
Heartbeats,
Words,
Thoughts,
Screams,
Indistinguishable in time.
A string of stars-
Their light revealing us.
starts in my chest.
An unfilled longing
To feel
Intertwined with her
Heartbeats,
Words,
Thoughts,
Screams,
Indistinguishable in time.
A string of stars-
Their light revealing us.

Well penned CharlotteMae
it makes me think of a slinky dog, but the middles instead filled with shooting stars, heartbeats longing,on the verge of bursting from chest cavities.
in time we shall not notice who we are or what we've become.
lights shining on our shadows in the dark lit alley ways.
one day being one with her.
great feelings and style turned.

Wow so simple and subtle..
Its deeper than the amount of lines it has...meaning I've expressed so much I'm only a few words....now that's a gift beautiful
Love Autumn xoxo

I really like this one and how short and sweet it is, but also large in concept with the string of stars at the end!

Re. A String of Stars
First-off, Charlotte,
The title to this one stirs imaginings galore in a poet's fertile mind, so mysterious.
Next, I am very happy to finally review one of your excellent poems after reading so many … I know … I shouldn't be so shy, and I'm working on that, believe me.
There is so much I want to say, but I know I can't be like a fountain, either … LOL!
Your first line tugged my emotions right off, pulling my attention and holding me as your yearnings unwind through the desire for a wondrous connection with body, heart, soul, and mind in such ways each intricate flow truly does feel like a star slid onto a glowing golden string to be revered, felt, and admired as they shine upon and out of two starstruck lovers.
What a beautifully metaphoric poem of love and becoming a part of one another.
Your poetic voice warms me all through ~ makes me want to sighhh*
Wondrously written with deeply lasting imagery … thank you, Dear Lady-Poet!
Hope I didn't talk your eyes off, Charlotte 🌸 ⁓ Richard

Thank you for such a thoughtful review. This was one of my first poems. It's interesting to read it and see how much I've grown in my poetry.
Thanks again!
