The Faded Flower (working title)
'Love is a rose,
you better not pick it'
Because
'Every rose has its thorn.'
But
'Is it a sin to seek the truth
The truth beneath the rose?'
Would
'A rose by any other name
still smell as sweet?'
'A rose is still a rose',
and yet...
Blush-colored cheeks and glasses.
Shards of plastic
Crushed petals,
Naivete forgone, open eyes gaze
'Stand not amazed'
The world's a scary place
when your rose-colored glasses are broken.
