Regrets
I can't regret yesterday
because of today
Pain, loss and wasted time
all led to the light of this sunrise
I'll bask in this moment, I'll warm my heart
against a tomorrow that may be dark
I'll gird my spirit against the chance
I miss my next step in the dance
When the clouds roll in and the shadows fall
I'll push ahead, and I'll walk tall
I'll remember today, I'll remember the fun
Days beyond tomorrow will have sun
No moment that happened before we met
Can ever lead to dark regret
No moment that happened before their birth
Can mean any less than their worth
Without the heartache, barely receded
I'd never have been the man you needed
Without the trouble, without the strife
I'd never have found this wonderful life
because of today
Pain, loss and wasted time
all led to the light of this sunrise
I'll bask in this moment, I'll warm my heart
against a tomorrow that may be dark
I'll gird my spirit against the chance
I miss my next step in the dance
When the clouds roll in and the shadows fall
I'll push ahead, and I'll walk tall
I'll remember today, I'll remember the fun
Days beyond tomorrow will have sun
No moment that happened before we met
Can ever lead to dark regret
No moment that happened before their birth
Can mean any less than their worth
Without the heartache, barely receded
I'd never have been the man you needed
Without the trouble, without the strife
I'd never have found this wonderful life
