Author's Note
This was prompted by the looming thoughts and feelings that went along with the drawn out ending of my relationship at the time. What a mess of a time this was... arg.

Very nice , clever, I can feel the pain , because I’ve known the pain , and I fear that I still do

Why is it so hard at times to tip toe around the scattered shards of our broken hearts without inadvertently stepping on one and reopening the wound? As always, your imagery is absolutely perfect and your expression is deeply felt. Sending warm hugs and much love your way

Thank you, Willow. My heart has been bleeding for a while now. I don't want to think or feel. And when I do, I create a piece and put it out there, almost like airing a wound so that it can heal.
Thank you for supporting my journey. You are such an inspiration to me xo

Hi,
My name is Max and I just read your poem. I play guitar and write music but when I've tried to write an upbeat, positive song, more often than not it doesn't happen. I always go back to the blues. Why? Answer: Because I relate and feel the negative, that's why. I related to your poem, 'Lunae Lumen,' as though it's happen to me. Loss, rejection, always looking for some affirmation but it has never come to me. Poems are art and like any kind of art it is the beholder who can relate to it personally. I love your poem exactly for the reason that I've experienced what you've written and I live it every single day. We write and relate to what we know best. I hope you, I and others eventually find some kind of peace...Maybe on our deathbeds, though I'm holding out hope for sooner. I've have one candle still flickering with hope....
Peace,
Max

Knowing that the “we” is gone, really knowing. And your broken heart spilled out before you is so hard. Trying to move on, but those pieces of your heart recalling the sweet memories, the ones that hurt so bad for being gone. This poem is so poignant, so heartfelt. I joined you through this and felt your pain.
Thank you for the write.

Thank you so much for your comment. I'm so thankful I got through it and that it's embedded in my past. Every raw feeling has died a little death...
