I wish the stars were closer
I would bring them down to we
I have a tendency to not look up
So I have a tendency not to see
Though most of the time
They remain out of sight
I get comfort from knowing
They’re always there day or night
As I lay I finally look up
There are no stars up high
But I know they will be back
They can never say goodbye
Bold Beautiful and shinning
You know where they stand
It would be a wish granted
To hold a star in my hand
But I know of stars more beautiful
Then all the stars of all the skies
The only place to find these stars
Are behind your beautiful eyes
So big and so bright
I can only see your face
All my ties cut
You hold me in place
