Put on Your Dancing Shoes
I tell you of my romance with change
what a beautiful creature in the wake of destruction
nothing can compare to her smile or longevity;
yet I am still here
plucking burning flowers from the gravestones
oh the plaguing desire of known
to want can be so obstructive at times
and you should know
you should know better than I
than most I know
about familiarity
routine has beaten down my door
has beaten down my soul
and you know how afraid of it I can be
you know
you know
how much of a fighter I am
do you ever think you will realize how angelic my love is?
Oh her dancing can combine perfectly with any melody
and yet you refuse to lift your feet
what a fool you have become
what a traitor I am
as well
what a beautiful creature in the wake of destruction
nothing can compare to her smile or longevity;
yet I am still here
plucking burning flowers from the gravestones
oh the plaguing desire of known
to want can be so obstructive at times
and you should know
you should know better than I
than most I know
about familiarity
routine has beaten down my door
has beaten down my soul
and you know how afraid of it I can be
you know
you know
how much of a fighter I am
do you ever think you will realize how angelic my love is?
Oh her dancing can combine perfectly with any melody
and yet you refuse to lift your feet
what a fool you have become
what a traitor I am
as well
