Stranger

When you next see me
come up to me
tell me that you love me
hate me
miss me.
That you would die for the man behind you
or kill to be the woman in front

Tell me
because i am a stranger
and expect nothing from you

Tell me how you dried your eyes
in fits of laughter
even though your smile
doesn't reach your eyes.
Tell me you wish she wasn't gone
and that your Father was still here,
He would make everything better
by crying with you

I am a stranger
i don't know your masques
so be yourself

Look me in the eye
then kiss me
spit at me
smile
then punch me
take me in your arms
"Thanks, i needed that."
"No problem.", i reply

No matter how lightly, forgettably,
i will touch your life.
I am tired of being a stranger...

Tell me, I'm happy to hear
you could be my next love
a pleasant aquantance
a despised colleague
or the big missed chance.
You are a world of oppurtunity
because, don't forget, you're a stranger to me, too.
